DHA Multan Announces One-Time Punjab Sales Tax (PST) on All Plots and Villas – Effective June 1, 2025
The Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Multan has officially released a public notice that marks a significant update for all members and property owners within the society. In alignment with Clause 15 of the 2nd Schedule of the Punjab Sales Tax on Services Act, 2012, DHA Multan will begin enforcing a one-time Punjab Sales Tax (PST) on all plot categories and villas, starting from 1st June 2025.
This tax will be applicable across a broad spectrum of property types, ranging from small residential plots to large villas and commercial categories. The decision aims to comply with provincial legislation and streamline the taxation structure within the rapidly developing housing authority.
What Is the Punjab Sales Tax (PST)?
The Punjab Sales Tax on Services Act, 2012, introduced by the Government of Punjab, mandates a sales tax on a range of services, including real estate and construction-related transactions. Clause 15 of its 2nd Schedule now directly affects property transactions in DHA Multan.
